Hometown Heroes Family Edition - Longoria Family Home Makeover:

This was our second project and was called “Hometown Heroes Family Edition” in which we helped a special family in Grafton, WI that has been stricken with many health issues and needed their home modified to accommodate their family’s growing special needs. Read about the families struggles. With the help of the rest of the community, we made this miracle happen for them.

We had many volunteers for this special hometown project. They included people who were skilled carpenters and plumbers, food servers, and just anyone who had time to donate for miscellaneous projects. The house transformation started Oct. 28 and was completed on November 25, 2008 just in time for Thanksgiving! You can see the results throughout the rest of this site.

Thanks to our friends at NBC, we had a crew from Dateline NBC on hand to record these moments and help us document a community of volunteers and the family's story on how everyone came together and built a foundation for a lasting friendship with Karen Longoria and her family. We wanted to say a heart felt thank you to everyone at NBC for their part in helping to bring this to event you. You can catch all of the information about the show at:
